The “More than a trip” project, which began last September, continues its journey this year. The program, developed by Rosmolodezh and Rostourism within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, attracted active young people who are ready to discover new places in Russia and receive not only impressions, but also knowledge.
Two billion rubles will be allocated annually for the implementation of the program. And this year, 50 thousand people will be able to participate.
The project already includes 370 unique tourist routes covering 79 regions of Russia. “The main criterion for their selection,” Ksenia Razuvaeva, director of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, told RG, “was that the participants should not only see something new in the region, but also successfully prove themselves: reveal their talents, expand knowledge and learn new skills. Each trip consists of two parts: an educational and tourist block (includes excursions to iconic places with young guides and architects, lectures by leading speakers of the Russian “Knowledge” society and other partners) and a useful program (social, volunteer, environmental)”.
The head of Rosmolodezh also spoke about the new routes: “We plan to strengthen the direction related to career guidance and self-determination of the participants, in particular, schoolchildren and students. Popular science topics will also be developed and environmental tours will be expanded.” all regions.”
Program participants will visit the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, where they will get acquainted with the enterprises of the oil and gas industry. Children will see the magnificent nature and originality of Buryatia. In Kuzbass they will visit unique excursions to modern industrial enterprises. Ecological expeditions to protected areas also await tourists.
“We are planning interesting programs in Chechnya and Dagestan,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva. “For example, a very interesting Culinary Express tour will be held in the North Caucasian Federal District. And in the Southern Federal District, one of the most promising tourist routes for development is the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea and the Rostov region.”
Until now, only the winners of the contests of the platform “Russia – a country of opportunities” and the all-Russian society “Knowledge” can use the free ticket within the framework of the program.
“But now we are working to increase the number of participants of the trip and the content of the program,” said the director of Rosmolodezh. “We have planned a collaboration with universities together with the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. We are forming a community of guides and developing a new project within the program: “More than work”. It will allow everyone to combine trips around Russia with internships in companies.”
Among the tours of the program “More than a trip” is a trip to Lake Baikal. Tourists will visit the Taltsy architectural and ethnographic museum and the village of Listvyanka, which is called the “gates of Baikal”. Admire the wooden sculptures in Lukomorye Park.
In Karachay-Cherkessia, they will ride a pendulum cable car through a clearing of training slopes to a height of 3,012 meters, the peak of Mussa-Achitara. And in Veliky Novgorod, the guys not only went on excursions, but also discussed the development of tourism in the region with specialists from the tourism committee of the city administration. And they offered their projects.
A unique tour to Sakhalin Island has been developed: visiting boiling lakes, swimming in hot springs and much more. A useful tourist program is devoted to ecology.
There are four categories of trips available to participants: a weekend trip, a 3-5 day trip in the region, a 6-10 day trip within the federal district, and a 7-14 day trip throughout Russia. You can learn more about the “More than a Trip” program on its official website.
