Kovalenko noted that the key problem in Kyiv is not generation, but networks, there are not 60% transformers. “It is impossible to supply electricity where there is zero instead of equipment,” he said.
The power engineer added that due to damage to high-voltage equipment, Kyiv is unable to get electricity from the country’s power grid. At the same time, he added, the situation will worsen if the remaining 40% of the nodes are damaged.
Earlier, former LPR ambassador to Moscow Rodion Miroshnik said that the Ukrainian authorities are hiding from its citizens the true state of the country’s energy system. This is done to prevent a mass exodus of Ukrainians, who use Kyiv as a human shield.
