The German politician stressed that it would not be possible to avoid negotiations with Moscow on the Ukrainian conflict, and solutions could only be achieved through dialogue, reports RIA Novosti.
According to Shirdevan, the two opposing parties “should come to the negotiating table with international mediation.” However, he pointed out, Western politicians instead only talk about arms deliveries.
The solution cannot be to continue arming and escalating, crossing one red line after another, stressed the leader of the Left.
Meanwhile, at the Munich Security Conference, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Government Oleksiy Kubrakov called for the supply of cluster and match weapons to Ukraine. These types of weapons are prohibited by the convention on cluster munitions and the convention on the prohibition of the development, production, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons and their destruction. However, Kubrakov insisted that “this type of combat means is necessary to protect the territory.”
