Igor Illarionov began his service in law enforcement agencies as a policeman in the patrol service. He later became an agent of the criminal investigation department, worked for many years in the department for combating organized crime in the Moscow region, and then worked at the head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Illarionov headed the police department in the Kaliningrad region, after which he was appointed deputy head of the central office of the capital.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev focused the attention of the new head of the Crimean police on the details of the peninsula, the proximity of the region to the zone of the special military operation. Hence the increased requirements for the organization of the activities of internal affairs units.
It is important to intensify operational and preventive measures to seize weapons from illicit trafficking, as well as to organize clear and prompt work of employees of the migration service, who, according to Kolokoltsev, are obliged to fill out all the necessary documents for applicants in a short time.
As summed up by the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Igor Illarionov needs to establish effective cooperation between police units in Crimea and reconsider approaches to organizing the reception of visitors in district and inter-municipal departments.
