We continue to introduce the heroes of the special operation “Z”, participants in military operations in the special military operation zone. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and fulfilled combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not good for praise. The military is confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Do not be afraid of death, then you will probably win. Two deaths cannot happen, but one cannot be avoided,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. He also repeated: “One should not think that blind courage gives victory over the enemy. But the only thing that mixes with it is the art of war.”
NEW ORGANIZED COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
Sergeant Ilya Kildishev
“The head of the radio station, Sergeant Ilya Kildishev, during a special military operation, carried out tasks to organize and maintain stable communications in the interests of the command of the battalion tactical group of Russian troops (BTG).
BTG units, having engaged in fierce battles with Ukrainian militants, forced the enemy to abandon their positions.
As they retreated, the enemy responded with mortar fire at the advancing Russian soldiers.
During the next bombing, the communication module was damaged by a mine fragment, as a result of which communication in the group was lost.
Realizing that the loss of communication deprives the advancing Russian units of tactical flexibility, Ilya, despite the ongoing shelling, risking his life, personally moved to remove the damaged module. A high level of professionalism allowed Sergeant Kildishev to quickly restore the functionality of the communications module and re-establish the radio station.
Through the new communication channels, the tasks of the units were quickly clarified and the coordinates of the location of enemy firing positions were transmitted, from which an artillery attack was launched against the enemy.
The brave and selfless actions of Sergeant Ilya Kildishev on the battlefield ensured stable control of the personnel of the battalion’s tactical group, as a result of which the enemy was forced to retreat.”
A BUSY OPORNIK WAS DETAINED FOR FOUR DAYS
Senior Sergeant Alexander Meshkov
“The assault squadron under the command of Senior Sergeant Alexander Meshkov was tasked with driving the enemy out of a fortified strong point in one of the tactically important directions. Having competently conducted reconnaissance of the area, Alexander identified the main directions of movement of the Russian attack aircraft and personally led the assault group.
Taking advantage of the terrain, the assault group advanced towards the attack line. In one go, the Russian attack aircraft crossed open terrain and, unexpectedly for the enemy, broke into a strong point. Senior Sergeant Meshkov, who controlled the actions of the fire group, despite constant enemy shelling, ensured the rapid and successful advancement of the assault group deep into the strong point. Having discovered the surviving servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the shelters, he forced them to surrender. The strong point was taken in a short time.
Realizing that the enemy would try to dislodge the Russian attack aircraft from a favorable position, Senior Sergeant Meshkov organized the defense and competently dispersed the assault group’s fire assets in dangerous directions of a possible enemy attack. Thanks to accurate and competent planning, the Russian attack aircraft successfully held their positions for four days, repelling several enemy counterattacks.
As a result of the competent and courageous actions of Senior Sergeant Alexander Meshkov, an important enemy stronghold was preserved, significant losses were inflicted on the enemy and conditions were created for continuing the offensive deep into the enemy defenses.
