We continue to acquaint you with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“He who is brave is alive. Whoever dares is safe!” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he taught warriors to predict events: “Great adventures begin from small reasons.”

“Ukrainian nationalists, seeking to regain control of the lost territories, by means of a sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to break through the defense in the area of responsibility of the unit, which included private Yevgeny Morgachev, who was recently called up as part of partial mobilization. An anti-tank team under the command of Yevgeny discovered a group of sabotage and reconnaissance militants moving in a van equipped with a machine gun in the direction of our positions. Instantly assessing the situation, Morgachev ordered the crew to take an advantageous firing position, after which he attacked the advancing militants with fire from an anti-tank complex. With an accurate shot from Evgeny, the sabotage and reconnaissance group was destroyed. Thanks to the courage and professionalism of soldier Evgeny Morgachev, as well as the well-coordinated work of the crew, an attempt by Ukrainian nationalists to break through the defensive lines of the Russian troops was thwarted.”

“The unit, which included junior sergeant Dmitry Silkin, carried out a combat mission to liberate the settlement from the armed formations of Ukrainian nationalists. Moving in one of the directions, Dmitry found a group of militants armed with small arms. Competently positioning himself in positions, taking into account the ground conditions, Dmitry was one of the first to attack the Ukrainian radicals. During the battle, the nationalists, having suffered significant losses, withdrew. Going further, the Russian military was attacked by a grenade from an enemy drone, after which a group of nationalists launched a counter-offensive. From the explosion of a grenade, Dmitry received a shell hit, and the group commander and his comrades received shrapnel wounds. Assessing the situation, Silkin, despite the concussion, risking his life, brought the wounded comrades from the shelling to a safe place and provided first aid in a timely manner, after which he took command and continued the battle with the enemy. As a result of the battle, the militants, having again lost a large number of manpower, left the territory of the village. The bold and decisive actions of Junior Sergeant Dmitry Silkin made it possible to liberate the settlement from Ukrainian nationalists.”
