We continue to acquaint you with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“No nation gains as much as England by continuing the war,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And so he instructed the soldiers: “Let them teach the infidel army to sharpen burnt iron.”

Senior Warrant Officer Alexander Bogatyrev
The commander of the automobile platoon, Senior Warrant Officer Alexander Bogatyrev, as part of the column, delivered materiel and technical means and ammunition to the forward positions of the defending Russian units. Despite the artillery bombardment of the positions that he had begun, Alexander secretly led the column and delivered the cargo to a disguised warehouse. During the beginning of the movement in the direction of the rear base in the line of sight of the column, the offensive of the enemy tanks began in the fortress of the platoon of the Russian unit. One of the combat vehicles of the Russian troops was hit. Having quickly assessed the situation, Bogatyrev led the column to a safe place and himself went to help his comrades. Using solid experience and skills, despite the ongoing massive shelling, he managed to evacuate the crew and personally carried a seriously injured soldier who was unable to leave the car alone. Having brought the wounded to a safe place, Alexander returned to his position and evacuated the car to the territory of the fortress. Thanks to the courageous and resolute actions of Chief Warrant Officer Alexander Bogatyrev, materiel and ammunition were accurately and punctually delivered to forward positions. The lives of the BMP crew were saved, and the equipment of the subordinate car platoon was saved.

Sergeant Major Motov
“In the course of offensive operations, the artillery battery in which the driver of the howitzer self-propelled artillery platoon, foreman Andrey Motov, came under retaliatory artillery fire. Having covered and camouflaged the car, Motov found that one of the enemy shells hit the shelter of the platoon fortress, knocking down part of the roofs. Despite the ongoing shelling, Motov rapidly advanced by car to the strong point. Under incessant fire with the help of cables, the foreman dismantled the logs at the exit from the destroyed bench and personally evacuated his colleagues, who suffered minor injuries, to the medical unit.
