We continue to acquaint you with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Defense Ministry, in the volunteer units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, are highly appreciated.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards.
The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“A soldier must be healthy, brave, firm, resolute, truthful, pious,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he warned the commanders: “What is necessary for a soldier is useful, and what is superfluous is brought into luxury, the mother of self-will.”
THREE HOURS REFLECT ENEMY COUNTERATTACKS

“A group of Russian servicemen under the command of Guard Senior Lieutenant Yevgeny Volvenkov was assigned a combat mission to destroy an armed formation of Ukrainian nationalists who had established firing positions in the area of one of the settlements. Moving along a given route, Yevgeny’s group came under machine gun fire from the enemy. Having assessed the situation, Volvenkov, competently using the terrain conditions, decided to encircle the positions of the militants. Directing aimed fire, the Russian military under the command of Volvenkov chained the actions of the enemy machine gun crew. Deprived of the support of machine gun fire, the nationalists, despite fierce resistance, were destroyed. Eugene’s decisive actions contributed to the successful outcome of the battle, as a result of which the enemy’s position was taken. Ukrainian nationalists tried to retake an advantageous line of fire. But the staff of Volvenkov’s group repulsed three enemy counterattacks in three hours and held the position until our main forces approached. Thanks to the competent and courageous actions of Senior Lieutenant of the Guard Evgeny Volvenkov and his subordinates, our servicemen occupied the most advantageous lines, which made it possible to further develop the offensive.

“In the course of a special military operation, Junior Sergeant Denis Nechaev, together with his subordinates, carried out the tasks of demining buildings and engineering reconnaissance of troop movement routes. During fierce battles, the Ukrainian fighters, suffering defeats and losses, fell back deep into the defense. Leaving the previously occupied settlements, the nationalists mined the roads leading to them, as well as socially significant infrastructural facilities. In the course of conducting engineering reconnaissance in one of the settlements abandoned by Ukrainian militants, a group under the command of Junior Sergeant Nechaev discovered and neutralized a large number of mines laid by the enemy. With their decisive actions and professional training, the personnel of the group under the leadership of Junior Sergeant Nechaev prevented explosions in a certain area of the settlement.
