We continue to acquaint you with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, and all because the Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Continuous study of the enemy will make you a great commander,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he repeated to the commanders: “The chief in war must not commit himself to anything, but rather act according to the circumstances and always quickly.”

“In the course of a special military operation, the unit, which included Corporal Ilya Nosov, assistant gunner and grenade launcher, carried out a combat mission to defend the settlement.
Ilya, while on an observation post near the village, discovered an errant enemy mortar mounted on a van. Covertly occupying a firing position, Corporal Nosov opened fire with a grenade launcher at the nationalists’ car, destroying it. The Nationalists returned fire with small arms. But, despite this, Ilya Nosov continued to fire at the enemy, hitting some of the militants. Thanks to the courageous and selfless actions of Corporal Nosov, the enemy was destroyed, which did not make it possible to organize a covert attack on the units of the Russian troops.

“Senior Guard Lieutenant Ilya Kulakov, together with subordinate personnel, carried out a combat mission to defend the positions of the Russian troops. Ukrainian militants tried to break through the positions of the defensive line of Ilya’s company. Kulakov, noticing the movement of the enemy equipment and infantry, quickly gave the order to the personnel to prepare for battle. Having taken up a firing position and letting the enemy get closer, Senior Guard Lieutenant Kulakov opened fire from an RPG at enemy vehicles. With aimed fire, Ilya knocked out 2 enemy tanks. The enemy, having begun to suffer losses, after a short battle, retreated to the starting line. Also, during the battle, Kulakov discovered and destroyed with small arms an enemy quadrocopter-type UAV carrying an FOG.
Despite the previous losses, the enemy made a second attempt to break through the defense line in this direction. But thanks to the competent command of Kulakov, this attempt was stopped. In the battle, Ilya, from a competently occupied firing position, fired at the enemy from an RPG, thereby disabling the enemy tank. Realizing that the tank he had shot down was trying to hide in the adjacent forest belt, he advanced towards it and threw a grenade into the open hatch of the tank commander, as a result of which the tank was destroyed.
The enemy was thrown back to the starting line. With the approach of the reserves, the enemy returned to the attack. Kulakov, in the course of reconnaissance with a UAV, discovered the enemy’s advance and, correcting artillery fire, inflicted a fire rout, destroying the infantry fighting vehicle and a large number of enemy manpower. Further, having assessed the situation, the officer decided to launch a counteroffensive and force the enemy out of their positions. With subordinate personnel, using the terrain, Ilya secretly approached the enemy. During further reconnaissance, he was discovered by a squad of Nationalists. Having informed the higher command about the located enemy forces, having received an order to destroy it, Kulakov began to adjust artillery fire. As a result of prolonged exposure to fire and losses, the enemy was forced to withdraw, leaving personal property, equipment, and a Polish-made anti-aircraft gun.
Thanks to the competent command, the courage and heroism of Senior Guard Lieutenant Ilya Kulakov, as well as the skillful leadership of the staff, the military personnel destroyed 3 tanks and up to 45 infantry, and also captured one Polish-made anti-aircraft gun. gun. For heroism, personal valor, courage and dedication shown in the performance of military duty during a special military operation, Guards Senior Lieutenant Ilya Kulakov was awarded the Order of Valor.
