Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Where there are fewer troops, there are more brave ones,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he taught the warriors: “Where there is anxiety, there is a path, where there is joy, that’s the time, the head does not wait for the tail!”

Under incessant shelling, Andrei managed to get out from under the rubble, as well as evacuate to a safe place two comrades who were injured and could not get out of the destroyed dugout on their own. Having left the zone of death, private Andrey Yermolaev provided medical assistance to the evacuated wounded, which saved their lives, after which, taking a firing position, he continued to repel the attack of the militants.

“Acting as part of the calculation of an artillery mount, Senior Sergeant Andrei Starkov carried out the task of defending the fortified area from Russian troops. Armed formations of Ukrainian militants tried to penetrate deep into the defense and attacked the positions of Russian military personnel. The calculation under the command of Senior Sergeant Starkov made a maneuver and took an advantageous position. Having disguised the weapon, Andrei contacted the motorized rifle units occupying the first line of defense and asked for the coordinates of the enemy targets. Having received the data, Senior Sergeant Starkov destroyed a group of armored vehicles and up to two dozen enemy attack aircraft with aimed fire, causing significant damage to the advancing militants, depriving them of the opportunity to continue the offensive. Thanks to Andriy’s courage and dedication, as well as the professionalism of his subordinates, all the identified goals were achieved in a timely manner, the breakthrough of Ukrainian nationalists was thwarted.
