Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Never despise your enemy, whoever he is, and know his weapons well, his way of acting and fighting. Know what is his strength and what is the enemy’s weakness, ”said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he taught the soldiers: “Speed is needed, but haste is harmful.”

“The motorized rifle company under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Kursky carried out the task of preventing a breakthrough of the line of defense in one of the tactical directions. Armed formations of Ukrainian nationalists tried to regain control of the lost territories and attacked the positions of Russian military personnel. When conducting defensive operations, the motorized rifles under the command of Kursky, occupying a strategically advantageous position, repelled an attack of a significantly superior number of the enemy. Dmitry himself, being at the forefront, showing courage and risking his life, led the unit and inspired his subordinates to bold and decisive actions. Aimed fire from the subordinates of Lieutenant Dmitry Kursky destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle and an enemy tank, as well as up to 25 nationalists, causing significant damage to the advancing militants, depriving them of the opportunity to continue the offensive.
KNOCKED DOWN THREE TANKS IN THE BATTLE

“The commander of the anti-tank guided missile battery, Sergeant Yevgeny Korotkikh, carried out the task of covering a dangerous direction for tanks in the area of one of the settlements liberated from Ukrainian militants. At night, the enemy, with forces up to a tank platoon, made another attempt to break through the defense of the Russian troops. Eugene was the first to discover a column of armored vehicles, which immediately reported to the battery commander and, receiving the order to destroy the enemy, opened fire on enemy tanks. Acting as part of his unit, Sergeant Korotkikh destroyed three tanks with targeted anti-tank guided missile fire, subsequently disrupting the enemy offensive and driving his forces back to their original positions.

The all-Russian military-patriotic public movement “UNARMIA” launched the all-Russian campaign “Return the name to the hero”, timed to coincide with the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

“Members of the Youth Army of Moscow and the Moscow region, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Sevastopol and Vladivostok launched a large-scale all-Russian action at the monuments and memorials of the defenders of the Fatherland in their cities. As part of the campaign, Yunarmiya members clear obelisks, memorials and military graves,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
