“Major Salavat Bayrakov, being with his unit at the front of the defense line, provided artillery support to the Russian motorized rifle units. The enemy, seeking to dislodge the Russian military from their positions, launched a counterattack and attacked our positions with artillery and mortars. Being under fire from the nationalists, without losing his composure, Bayrakov quickly identified enemy firing points, corrected the fire of Russian artillery and transmitted the coordinates of the targets, ensuring the continuous performance of the combat work of his battalion of self propelled artillery. Thanks to the skillful leadership of Bayrakov, as a result of counter-battery fire, a foreign-made self-propelled artillery mount of the enemy, the Msta-B howitzer, as well as a large number of enemy manpower, were destroyed by artillery. “In the course of a special military operation, the paramedic of the medical center, Senior Warrant Officer Ilnur Alimbekov, performed the tasks of providing medical support to the battalion tactical group of the Russian Armed Forces. Ilnur repeatedly evacuated and provided medical assistance aboard a Mi-8 helicopter specially equipped with a resuscitation medical module, intended to maintain vital body functions of seriously injured servicemen in difficult conditions under heavy fire at extremely low altitudes. Alimbekov also provided medical assistance to seriously injured servicemen after emergency operations in field hospitals. The experience and professionalism of Senior Warrant Officer Alimbekov made it possible to evacuate more than 600 servicemen from the zones of active hostilities to stationary hospitals.
MEANWHILE
For participants from the Northern Military District and their families, the Russian Railways and the Russian Ministry of Defense launched a special tourist train through the Russian North as part of the “We Do Not Leave Our Own” project. The wounded servicemen, their families and members of the families of the servicemen who died while carrying out the tasks of a special military operation, a total of 750 people, will make six-day trips by train.
Three tourist flights are expected to depart from Moscow and pass through the Ruskeala Mountain Park, Sortavala, Pskov, Saint Petersburg and Vologda.
