According to the general, Russia is currently working on creating a register of illegal immigrants. When they arrive there, they are deprived of many rights, from driving a car to enrolling their children in kindergartens and schools.
“A register of controlled persons is being created, i.e. foreign citizens who are illegally in the territory of our country. Once they are registered, these citizens will not be able to drive vehicles, use banking services, register property, enter and leave, dissolve marriages, enroll children in kindergartens and schools,” Alexander Gorovoy told Kommersant.
In preparing for the registration, the Deputy Minister of the Interior also highlighted the priority task of the Ministry of the Interior: ensuring interdepartmental electronic interaction with the organisations providing these services.
