“Contrary to the requirements of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and its Additional Protocol, which prohibit the use of weapons if this would cause excessive loss of life or injury among civilians, the servicemen of the 110th brigade independent mechanized army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 18, 2022 struck according to the Donetsk Clinic Territorial Medical Association (former hospital named after Kalinin), located in the Kalininsky district of the city of Donetsk”, said Svetlana Petrenko , official representative of the Russian Research Federation. Committee.
He noted that as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two hospital buildings were damaged.
“Two pavilions, where civilians were at the time of the bombing, suffered the greatest damage. Despite prompt medical assistance, the victim, who received severe shrapnel wounds, died,” Petrenko specified.
According to medical personnel, the state of health of the other victims is stable.
Investigators conducted an inspection of the scene, questioned eyewitnesses, measures are being taken to identify the persons involved in the crime.
