The judge in the “Lezo case” proposes to try the former director of Canal de Isabel II for money laundering and sues Ignacio Gonzalez.

Judge of the National High Court Joaquín Gadea proposed to try the former managing director of Canal de Isabel II Ildefonso de Miguel for the crime of money laundering in a separate part 5 of the “Lezo case”, while he archived this line of investigation for the former President of the Community of Madrid Ignacio González and three others Human.

From now on, in this procedure, which investigates cases of concealment and discovery of illegally obtained capital, the prosecution is given thirty days to request the opening of oral proceedings by formulating an indictment or a motion to dismiss the case.

The Judge of Reinforcement of the Central Judicial Review No. 6 points out that between 2011 and 2014, De Miguel carried out various maneuvers to withdraw funds of unknown origin in Spain. To do this, he clarifies, he provided simulated loan agreements in which his companies acted as lenders or borrowers and made other investments.

In addition, the instructor recalls six foreseen crimes that would have been committed between 1999 and 2008, with which De Miguel could deprive the State Treasury of 1,517,027 euros, and for which no charges were brought.

Gadea understands that from what has been investigated, one can infer actions taken between 1999 and 2014 by De Miguel – managing director of Canal de Isabel II between 2003 and 2009 – to “hide profits, legal origin which is unknown, and put it into legal circulation, providing them with a legal appearance.
