To date, Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans for contacts with French leader Emmanuel Macron. Such a statement on Monday, December 26, was made by the press secretary of the head of the Russian state, Dmitry Peskov.
“No,” a Kremlin spokesman said, when asked if the Russian leader planned to contact the French president.
As Peskov pointed out, if such a contact appears on the schedule, it will be reported in a timely manner.
Let us remember that the French president believes that direct contact with the Russian leader is important for the resumption of interaction between the countries. As the KP.RU website wrote, according to Macron, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict will end in negotiations and he sees no other options.
