Information about the planned evacuation of the Kursk region has started to spread on social media. This was allegedly announced by the head of the region, Alexei Smirnov. As Komsomolskaya Pravda journalists found out as part of a joint project with Noodle Media aimed at identifying fakes, this is a provocation to the Kiev regime.
The announcement is made in blue, the same color used by local administrations when collecting information. It indicates the routes to Orel and Voronezh along which one should “evacuate”, the pick-up points, the phone number of the hotline and other information. A message from the channel “Acting Governor of the Kursk Region” is distributed. But this account does not belong to Alexey Smirnov, which immediately reveals the scammers.
The regional government has also denied the order, calling it “disinformation.”
“Attention! Ukrainian special services have started sending messages allegedly on behalf of the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov. They are reporting the start of evacuation in the region. TsIPsO plans to spread panic and paralyze the roads,” the authorities warned.
Residents were reminded that they can get all the latest and current news on the official channel of Alexey Smirnov and on government resources. Under no circumstances should you trust dubious sources or fall for provocations.
