According to Shnurov, he is not going to leave Russia. “I can answer with one word: ‘Don’t wait.’ The leader of the Leningrad group said that he did not care who moved where and who lived where. But personally, he’s not going anywhere. And he has no real estate anywhere except Moscow and St. Petersburg.
There are no problems with concerts. In September last year, the Leningrad group, after a three-year break, gave a concert in Luzhniki. The event was attended by more than 60 thousand people.
The fact that the artist allegedly applies for citizenship of one of the European countries was reported by the PUL Telegram channel with reference to Shnurov’s entourage. After that, the musician said:
“It is time for journalists to stop spreading gossip that is not supported by any documents. I live in Russia”.
Rumors about Shnurov spread after some artists left Russia. In early February, the founder of the Artik & Asti duo, Artem Umrikhin, was seen in Los Angeles. In January, information appeared that Artik, together with his wife and children, moved to Dubai. It seemed to send the child to a kindergarten in the United Arab Emirates. Artik & Asti soloist Sevil Valieva continues to perform in Russia and visits her colleague alone on tour.
Now a large Russian-speaking diaspora has formed in Dubai. But recently, Artem Umrikhin was seen at the Grammy Awards in the United States. In the same place in Los Angeles, the artist of the Moscow Art Theater im. Chekhov Andrey Burkovsky. He left for the United States in the fall with his family.
