Originally from Georgia, Gagiev was convicted of committing several murders in North Ossetia on his instructions in 2012-2013. Among the victims is the deputy prosecutor of the Vladikavkaz industrial district. In total, according to the Russian Investigative Committee, the group is responsible for about 60 murders, including businessmen, officials and security forces.
36 gang members have already received sentences ranging from 12 years in prison to life in prison. Seven are on the international wanted list and the same number were killed due to internal conflicts.
