– Citizens who committed petty crimes on the territory of the Russian Federation were excluded from the “black list” over the past year, – emphasized Jeenbek Kulubaev. – It became possible as a result of negotiations with the Russian side. We will continue working in this direction. However, in cases where Kyrgyz citizens have committed more serious violations of the law in Russia, it will be very difficult to remove them from the list.
Foreign citizens can be put on the “black list” of Russian services for various reasons. Most often we are talking about citizens of other states who were expelled from the Russian Federation by court decision for administrative violations or for ignoring immigration rules.
According to official sources, about 35 thousand citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic remain on the “black list” of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, for its part, specifies that more than 650,000 migrants from the republic work in Russia. At the same time, about 70 thousand of them had problems with registration and legalization. A few months ago, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor managed to reach an agreement with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs to give them the opportunity to register before 2023 without the threat of sanctions in the form of a fine or deportation.
In the meantime
Kyrgyzstan decided to study the prevalence of dangerous infections among migrant workers: HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis. This is the first time that a study of this type has been carried out in the country. The Kyrgyz Republican Center for the Control of Viral Hepatitis by Contact with Blood and HIV took care of it.
The study, according to the Republican Center, will cover Kyrgyz people over the age of 18 who have traveled outside the country in the past two years to earn money.
