The agency reports that these are units of the 11 separate mechanized brigade, which carry out combat coordination as part of the regional grouping of troops of Belarus and Russia.
The brigade is stationed in western Belarus in the city of Slonim, Grodno region.
Earlier, the Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich, spoke about the goals of the Belarusian-Russian regional group of troops. According to him, it has an exclusively defensive character and is designed primarily to protect the western borders of the Union State.
