The Ministry of Culture updated the composition of the expert councils for fiction, documentary and animation cinema, as well as for children’s and youth cinema. The number of board members has drastically decreased. This was said by Vedomosti.
Directors Aleksey Uchitel, Aleksey Fedorchenko, Vladimir Khotinenko, film producers Petr Anurov and Anton Zlatopolsky disappeared from the lists. In addition, some journalists, top managers of video services and the CEO of the Kinoprime film support fund, Anton Malyshev, did not enter the expert councils this time.
In addition, the number of employees of the Ministry of Culture in the composition of the participants increased and two representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church were added – TV presenter Alexei Pimanov and actor Dmitry Pevtsov, who is listed as a deputy of the State Duma. The expert councils will have to select the paintings that will receive state financial support. As a rule, the councils include film specialists. In 2023, they will help distribute more than 11.5 billion rubles.
