The head of the anti-aircraft missile crew, Senior Lieutenant Danil Evsyugin, who was conducting aerial reconnaissance, discovered two HIMARS MLRS missiles in the sky. With two missiles, he destroyed them at the right time. In total, while in position, the officer destroyed 78 air targets.
The driver of the Marine Corps unit’s BMP-3, Private Konstantin Bogatyrev, and his colleagues came under massive shelling from a camouflaged Ukrainian Armed Forces long-range firing point. He was able to take the BMP out of the fire, after which, during a successful maneuver, he took up a convenient firing position. This allowed accurate BMP machine gun fire to destroy the enemy’s pillbox. Konstantin was later instructed to cover the advancing Marines with small arms fire and shrapnel. The infantry fighting vehicle under his control provided cover for the raiding parties and helped drive defending enemy units out of the fortified area. We managed to avoid big losses on our part.
