The New Year’s patriotic concert “Say Thanks to the Heroes” in support of military personnel participating in the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine took place at the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army in Moscow.
“The event was organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the all-Russian youth movement Yunarmiya. And the concert itself became a congratulatory “video postcard”, available for viewing on the recording of the military personnel of the special military operation and the soldiers of the hospitals,” the military department stressed.
The concert was broadcast in 47 medical institutions of the Russian Defense Ministry. The audience at the concert were servicemen, members of their families, veterans, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, leaders and representatives of military-patriot associations and the Yunarmiya movement.
The concert was attended by youth creative teams along with famous artists. The participants included the Lyube group, Oleg Gazmanov, Denis Maidanov, Sergey Voitenko, AV Alexandrov, the ensembles “Domisolka” and “Young Patriots”, the collective “Todes”, students of the Moscow Military Music School named after of Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov, students of the boarding school of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and others.

At the concert, many residents of Russia had the opportunity to write words of gratitude to the soldiers at the counter of the “Letter to a Soldier” action. New Year’s letters and packages for SVO members were completed in different regions of Russia over several weeks, and then sent to Yunarmiya’s main headquarters in Moscow.
Today, a Yunarmey truck left the theater of the Russian Army, with packages and letters for the military involved in the special military operation.
