According to the head of the unit at a meeting of the State Anti-Drug Committee, as a result of the operational search activities, six members of the drug trafficking group were arrested. “They were involved in a criminal scheme for the delivery of marijuana from the southern regions of Russia. About 260 kilograms of a prohibited potion were seized,” Kolokoltsev said.

According to him, the first link in the chain of successful events was the detention of a Kia car in Moscow on Prospekt Mira. In his trunk, instead of the spare tire, the police found seven packages of marijuana weighing about six kilograms.

Three months later, on Kosmonavtov Street, the police detained the owner of the Land Cruiser car, which brought 27 packages of marijuana to Moscow from the Crimea, each weighing almost a kilogram. The drug trafficker planned to transfer the drug for storage and sale from him to his accomplice. In the accomplice’s apartment, 14 boxes of cannabis were seized with a total weight of about 79 kilograms.

Then the police detained a Crimean resident, who arrived in the capital with a suitcase in which the police found 33 packages of drugs. At the same time, two other accomplices of his were arrested, one of whom had more than 130 kilograms of marijuana confiscated in the garage.

Based on these facts, five criminal cases were initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, Parts 4 and 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Now the question of their combination into a single production is being considered. The police are conducting activities to arrest the organizer of illegal activities.
