The mission of MEPs from the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control, which has been in Spain since Monday to verify first-hand the execution of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, has instructed the Government to guarantee the accessibility and clarity of information on the use of European funds. The president of the delegation, the German Monika Hohlmeier, has stressed that the data is difficult to find and that the details on the payments that are made and the reforms or milestones that are going to be met should “be presented in a more accessible way ” .
The German company, which has certainly lowered its tone in relation to the letter it sent a few weeks ago to the Spanish Executive in which it came to express doubts about the management of European funds, has ruled out that some kind of breach is taking place by our country and wanted to make it clear that “there is no prospect of cutting off the tap (of funds) to Spain in any way”.
