About 1.4 million tourists visited Gelendzhik in July, an increase of 7.9 percent compared to last year. According to accommodation services, the percentage of room reservations for August is 86.6%; for September – 73.4%; for October – 59.6%; for November – 38.8%.
The popular resort attracts its guests not only with its unique recreational conditions, but also with interesting events and new exhibitions. Thus, on August 10 and 11, the traditional “Nautical Mile” swim will be held in an updated format. The head of the city, Alexey Bogodistov, reports on his Telegram channel that residents of 135 cities will take part in the swim. The “Nautical Mile” will be held for the 22nd time.
And on August 24, Gelendzhik will celebrate its birthday. And although it was decided not to hold a mass event on the Central Square, the celebration will certainly take place. The City Day program includes concerts, a fair, a flash mob and even a hat contest, so popular among residents and guests of the resort.
As for the new exhibits, today on the Gelendzhik embankment you can sit on a bench next to Vasily Lanov and Vladimir Etush. These great artists had a long creative friendship with Gelendzhik. And now their memory is immortalized in the city.
Rest in Gelendzhik is not only interesting, useful, but also safe. 100 percent of the resort’s beach areas are equipped with medical posts or stands. This season, about 100 medical workers and more than 300 appropriately trained lifeguards are involved.
