Patients also complain of “a feeling of discomfort and occasional pain in the abdomen.”
When the tumor grows and begins to compress the duodenum, a person complains of rapid satiety; it happens that after a small snack there is a feeling that there is no more food in the stomach. Only the location of the pancreas itself creates additional problems for the treatment of a malignant tumor: due to compression of the duodenum, the process of passing food is disturbed. This prevents you from eating normally and regaining your strength during treatment.
Obesity increases the risk of developing pancreatic cancer between 1.5 and 2 times. Also, risk factors are considered diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, cirrhosis of the liver. In this case, the disease occurs with approximately the same frequency in men and women.
“It is estimated that approximately 10-15% of pancreatic cancer cases are associated with heredity,” added Vladislav Evseev.
