On September 19, a personal exhibition by St. Petersburg artist Alexey Gan “Limen” opened in Gallery 3L. The project was developed in collaboration with the Marina Gisich Gallery. The author’s works from the “Limen” series are presented for the first time in Moscow.
The Latin word limen means border, transition, but at the same time home, a certain transitional space. The works in the “Limen” series convey the state of an illusory border space. They are made in multilayer acrylic technique. Abrasions, scratches and marks are used as complete visual elements that add authenticity to the work.
Guests were welcomed by 3L Gallery founder Natalya Maslova and art director Anastasia Grinina, as well as artist Alexey Gan and Marina Gisich Gallery founder Marina Gisich, who came from St. Petersburg for the opening . The exhibition was visited by Olga Karpova, Anastasia Kamenskaya, Maria Aboronova, Sofya Rauf, Anna Anichkova, Tatyana Nemirovskaya and others.
The exhibition presents 13 works from the “Limen” series, while the 14th can be seen at the 3L Gallery stand within the framework of the 11th Cosmoscow fair from September 29 to October 1.
We remind you that we previously talked about the main exhibitions in September. You can find a selection here.
