AmRest, owner of restaurant brands such as La Tagliatella or Sushi Shop, reached comparable sales of 651.1 million euros during the fourth quarter of 2022, which implies an increase of 20.8% of the figure reached in the same period of the previous year, according to the preliminary data submitted to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The restaurant group, which is present in a total of 23 countries, has reported that the sales index of comparable establishments -known as ‘like for like’- reached 117% compared to the previous year, 2021.
In this way, the group’s quarterly sales in the main markets (Western Europe, Eastern Europe and China) have grown by 1.5% quarterly, marking a new all-time high, according to the company, which has advanced that this will be the last communication of preliminary sales, since from the financial year 2023 the entity will only communicate the complete quarterly results.
Results of the previous quarter
It registered consolidated revenues of 658 million euros in the third quarter of the year, which represented an increase of 23.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. Likewise, the comparable sales ratio was 116.6% in the third quarter of 2022.
Among the reasons for these “positive” results, as explained by the restaurant group, the company has highlighted its “proven” business model and its “privileged” positioning due to the attractive price-value ratio of its offer. In addition, AmRest has noted that it maintains a “well-balanced” portfolio of restaurants across brands and countries.
