The organizers of the 73rd Berlin Film Festival have announced the participants of the two main programmes: the main section and the Meeting section. The latter is aimed at more experimental work. The movie list was published by Deadline.
The Encounters program included the film “Eastern Front” by Vitaly Mansky, co-authored with the Ukrainian director Yevgeny Titarenko. The same section features a painting by Sergey Sokurov’s student Malika Musaeva, “A bird is looking for a cage.” The program also included the films “Adults” by Dustin Guy Def, “Echo” by Tatyana Hueso, “Here” by Bas Devos, “In the Blind Spot” by Ais Polat, “My Worst Enemy” by Mehran Tamadon, “In the Water ” by Hong Sang-soo, “Time for the family” by Tia Kouvo, “Walls of Bergamo” by Stefano Savona and many others.

Let’s remember that the head of the jury of the main competition of the Berlin festival in 2023 is Kristen Stewart. The screening of the film will take place from February 16 to 26, and the Theater on Potsdamer Platz will once again be its main stage. The official Russian delegation has been suspended from participating in the event.
