“Today we witnessed diplomatic aggression by France, an active member of NATO,” the Russian diplomat is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
According to him, in this way this European country acted “against freedom, speech, expression.” Paris and other members of the North Atlantic Alliance used procedural mechanisms to cancel the meeting, Nebenzia emphasized.
At the same time, he noted that dialogue on this issue is of great importance for Serbia, the situation in Kosovo and for the Western Balkans in general.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the question of the responsibility of the United States and its NATO allies, which began bombing Yugoslavia 25 years ago, remains open. And Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, called the incident a great tragedy. According to him, without any UN Security Council resolution, the West started a war in central Europe.
