The leader of the Popular Party and candidate for the presidency in check. After holding various conversations by political parties to gain support for a possible new government, the PNV has stepped forward and rejects favoring the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The specific reason, as indicated, is because, for “this operation”, he would need Vox, and he has reiterated that the leader of the popular “has crossed a red line to the metro in the institutions” to the formation of Santiago Abascal.
Sources from the jeltzale formation have explained to Europa Press the position they maintain after Feijóo has stated that he has maintained “contact” with the president of the EBB of the PNV, Andoni Ortuzar, which he hopes to “extend in the coming days” in order to be able to form a future Government.
The jeltzales have indicated that the leaders of the PP and the PNV have not spoken nor have they quoted “nor have they agreed on anything”, and they have insisted on what they have repeated over the last few weeks. “Feijóo has crossed a red line from the metro to Vox in the institutions,” they stressed.
In fact, Ortuzar himself has denounced, on repeated occasions, that the PP has “normalized” that Vox “can enter to govern” in the institutions and has warned that the PNV is not going to enter, “by any means”, in “the PP-Vox formula” to “take a trip to the past”.
This message has been unequivocal in all the leaders of the PNV and the head of the list for Vizcaya to the Congress, Aitor Esteban, also stressed in the electoral campaign that, “with fascism, nothing at all, nor with whoever is helped by it.” Just today, the PNV has specified that their position is already known and they will not be in any “operation” in which Vox is involved.
