The Praktika Theater will hold a creative laboratory at the Moscow Museum

Date: July 18, 2024 Time: 14:22:58

The Praktika Theater postponed the opening of the Moscow Creative Laboratory on Objects on the territory of the Moscow Museum. However, it will continue to be run by the director and founder of the Object Theater, Mikhail Plutakhin. Classes will not be held in summer, but from September 16 to October 21.

The duration of the laboratory was extended from two weeks to one month. The theater says that “classes will be more rarefied” than originally anticipated. Adolescents from 12 years old and their parents can participate in the project. During the training, students learn about theater, working with props and creating shows based on their features.

Lab participants will learn how to create sketches and take acting training. In total, the program includes 12 three-hour sessions. They will take place at the Moscow Museum audience in the evening, from 18:00 to 21:00.

In addition, students explore one of the capital’s districts with the help of object theater techniques that combine elements of performance, shadow theater, object, voice, and musical installation. For two weeks every day, groups of 16 people will collect objects and record sounds from the city, communicate with and observe the citizens, and then create a performance based on the collected material.

Previously, Basta wrote music for the drama “Mayakovsky” on “Lenkom”. It was staged by the chief director of the theater Alexei Frandetti. We talk about it in more detail here.
