The price of electricity rises tomorrow Friday: the most expensive time to put the washing machine

The price of electricity tomorrow, Friday June 2, 2023, puts falls aside and will rise again. The electricity bill will increase slightly less than 2% compared to the price of this Thursday, according to the results of the auction held today in the wholesale market. Electric bill cheaper than a year ago

So far this year, the price of electricity has stood at an average of 87.3 euros/MWh, less than half the 213.2 euros/MWh registered during the same period of the previous year, when the Energy markets were hard hit by the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.

Despite this rise after three consecutive days of decline, electricity is still 60% cheaper than a year ago, when its price reached 215 euros/MWh, although it will be at higher levels than those registered in neighboring countries. In France, the average price will be 72.8 euros/MWh; in Germany, 81 euros/MWh; in the United Kingdom, 69.3 pounds/MWh (about 81 euros/MWh at the current exchange rate), and in Italy, 82 euros/MWh.

By time slots, electricity will reach its highest price tomorrow between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with 103.5 euros/MWh, and the lowest price between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., when it will be 74.3 euros /MWh. In this way, the average for the day stands at 86.7 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
