Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte spoke about his vision for a common European future during his visit to the United States. The politician admitted that after the end of the Ukrainian conflict, Western countries will have to build relations with Russia, since it is a large part of Europe and will remain with it forever.
– It is the largest country in the world. If there are peace talks on Ukraine and they end successfully, then relations will have to be restored somehow,” Rutte said, speaking at the Atlantic Council in Washington.
It is known that on the eve of Rutte’s speech at the think tank during a meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister, US President Joe Biden called on Europe to take more active measures against Russia.
It was previously reported that Amsterdam is considering the possibility of transferring Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, but a final decision on this issue has not yet been made.
