To date, there are agreements on the opening of Russian embassies in some African states, with which there are long-established diplomatic relations. This was announced on Wednesday at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, responding to a question from Komsomolskaya Pravda.
At the end of last week, after the results of the second Russia-Africa summit on the opening of new Russian embassies in African countries, he said: “Now this process has already started. Negotiations are underway with various countries.”
– Will those Russian diplomats who had to return early from the EU and US states be transferred to the new embassies? Or are new staff being trained with the necessary knowledge to work in Africa?
– To work in the new institutions abroad, first of all, profile specialists-experts from the country will be involved. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has enough of them. They proved to be excellent professionals in this area,” Zakharova emphasized.
But, with which countries have agreements already been reached? The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry responded to this question as follows: “We will definitely share information about which countries and when, as soon as the negotiation process with our partners allows us to do so.”
As for the employees of our diplomatic institutions that are closed, for example, in Europe, then, according to Zakharova, there is a whole program for their employment in accordance with their qualifications, level of professional training and knowledge of the language.
– This program applies to both the central office and foreign institutions. Here everything is decided individually, but at the same time the approach is systematic. That is, for each employee several employment parameters are considered. And all this is defined in the corresponding program. By the word program, as you understand it, I mean a document. This is such a figurative name,” the senior diplomat explained.
