On September 9 and 10, the Koshta.Weekend festival will take place. It is organized by the creative company of art directors, multimedia artists, designers, producers and curators Koshta. They sincerely believe in unlimited fantasy and create their work outside of the usual reality.
The entire festival program will take place on the territory of the “Field” art space and the “BAYNS” club. The first place will become the epicenter of artistic culture and the second a source of musical energy. The main goal of Koshta.Weekend is to bring like-minded people together and encourage them to explore.
The project organizers want to create a sense of collective action, so they will use a variety of art practices, from digital art and painting to photography and video games. In addition, the organizers consider it their duty to form equal communities for at least one weekend.
“Koshta.Weekend is not a festival to passively watch or consume art, but to actively participate and find your place in the community. To build horizontal connections instead of vertical ones: cooperate, not obey. It is about comprehending and understanding the present through art and related cultural media”, this is how the general concept of the event is explained.
At the festival it will be possible to see installations, participate in artistic practices, gain knowledge in educational events, share experiences and make new friends. Together with their partners, the Koshta guys are preparing various activities. Plans include a special project with contemporary artists, an exhibition with innovative technologies, a personalized playground, etc. The music program is curated by System 108. A full speaker list and detailed schedule of all events will be announced shortly.
We remind you that from September 13 to 17 in the central exhibition hall “Manege” in St. Petersburg the festival of architecture “Architecton” will be held for the first time. The event will bring together different generations of architects in a forum, award, exhibition and public art program.
