“What people studied for five years in art school can now be done in a couple of seconds. However, you can’t remove a person from the formula. The neural network doesn’t have a brain, it can’t distinguish right from wrong. It can make the right choice, but then someone has to choose one of them, and this is the main skill, a great skill. The most valuable thing in the world is the human brain,” concluded Artemy Lebedev, founder of the eponymous design studio.
During the session, Director General of the National Center for Industrial Design and Innovation 2050.LAB Daria Topilskaya noted that without human presence, the development of the creative industry is impossible, even with the active use of artificial intelligence.
“Without a person, you cannot talk about technologies. Firstly, he creates them, and secondly, someone must implement them. Industrial design is a people-oriented business, not only in terms of users, but also in terms of those who are artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is about something cheap, fast and mass-produced; the specialist, in turn, processes and delves into them. And that is why it is still impossible to create a complete design project without human participation,” the speaker shared.
