The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes images of the combat work of the crews of the 122-mm 2S1 “Gvozdika” self-propelled howitzers of the airborne artillery units in the area of the Northern Military District, in the Soledar area.
“The UAV crew of the Tula paratroopers in the ruins of the urban development, still controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noticed a command and observation post (COP) of Ukrainian nationalists. The coordinates of the positions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were quickly transferred to the gunners of the Tula Airborne Forces unit for destruction,” said Russian Defense Ministry personnel.
In the next few seconds, the paratroopers deploy the weapon and, with precise firing from closed positions, destroy the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with its personnel. In subsequent shots, the paratroopers skillfully blend the shelters into the ground so that no one else can use them.
The gun commander with the call sign “Cat” says his crew was already crushing British, American and Polish guns.
“You come across pickup trucks, tanks and Polish crabs.” Everything has already happened. Our crew consisted of veterans of the Caucasus campaign. “We can, we know, why are we sitting at home?” says “Gato”.
A mechanical driver with the call sign “Kord” praises his self-propelled gun. He is confident that the team will not disappoint the combat crew.
