The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the round-the-clock combat work of the crew of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and weapons complex (ZRPK) in the border region of the Kursk region.

The footage shows military personnel heading to a position, spotting an attack drone in the air and attacking.

“As a result of competent actions of the crews, an attack drone in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine was escorted and destroyed,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The Pantsir-S1 air defence system crews monitor the airspace above Russian troop positions around the clock. Air defence soldiers are on duty in shifts.

“The Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system is equipped with the ability to engage any air attack weapons within the established operating range. To destroy air targets, the complex has 12 anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, the complex is equipped with two 30-mm double cannons with a capacity of 1,400 rounds,” the military department said.

Recall that at the last briefing, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, noted the combat training of air defense units, whose vehicles have shot down three French Hammer guided aerial bombs, 26 Czech Vampire missiles and 30 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the past.

It should be noted that since the start of the special military operation, 30,950 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for various purposes have already been destroyed.
