Do you also think that an eternity has passed after the New Year holidays and it’s time to have a full rest? Then there is good news for you! Rostrud decided to remind the workers how we will rest in the next month and a half, and the first long weekend awaits us in three weeks. We will rest for four days in a row: from Thursday the 23rd to Sunday the 26th.
Why did Friday February 24 also become a day off? The fact is that January 1 (non-working holiday) of this year fell on a Sunday. So that the Russians, God forbid, do not miss their legal rest day, in such cases the government postpones the day off to another date. That date was February 24.
But March 8 let us down: World Women’s Day fell on a Wednesday. Therefore, it will not work to combine it with any weekend.
At the same time, we remember that working on holidays and weekends is not only unpleasant, but also profitable. If the employer asks you to work on these days, the payment must be doubled. Or the boss is obliged to give you an extra day off.
