After his dismissal from the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, Dmitry Nazarov remained silent. The actor, of course, received calls with questions about the motives, but he only brushed the reporters off. The artist noted that he did not know anything about the decision of the artistic director of the theater Konstantin Khabensky. But the other day, he broke the silence.
Dmitry Nazarov, four days after the scandalous dismissal of Konstantin Khabensky, decided to confess. The actor talked about what is happening in his life now.
He said he was “getting out of the old life” and ready for something new. “There is something joyful in this – to meet the wind around the corner, although even before the change, this world was calm and bright,” Nazarov said.
It is worth noting that Khabensky quickly found a replacement for Nazarov. Already on January 29, in the play “The Master and Margarita” based on the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov, in which the actor played the role of Woland, the actor of the Theater of Satire Anatoly Kot will play in his place for the first time . . On January 21, Nazarov was supposed to go on stage at another performance of “Forest”. The production was quickly replaced by the comedy “No. 13D”.
Recall that the dismissal of Dmitry Nazarov from the Moscow Art Theater became known on January 13, 2023. The reason was the scandalous statements of the actor against Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. Khabensky fired not only the actor, but also his wife Olga Vasilyeva.
The deputy director of public relations of the theater, Vadim Vernik, confirmed the dismissal of Nazarov and his wife. He clarified that the conversation with Nazarov and Khabensky really took place. As a result, a decision was made.
