The scandal surrounding the boarding school erupted in early October, when several Voronezh editorial offices received photos of children tied to beds, scratched and bruised. The explanations for the pictures said that this is how the pupils of the children’s boarding school on Buturlinovka are treated. Law enforcement agencies became interested in the publications, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the torture of minors. The boarding school was checked by everyone who could and, of course, violations were found. However, no cases of child abuse were found. The prosecutor’s office reports that, according to the decisions of the Buturlinovsky district prosecutor, “the director of the institution was brought to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 6.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Violation of legislation in the field of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being) and part 1 of article 20.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Violation of fire safety requirements)”.
During the investigation of the criminal case, the Investigative Commission found no atrocities. “Our employees were there the same day, before social protection. And they found no traces of violence in the children,” a law enforcement representative told RG.
There were no complaints from the students’ relatives, said the office of the regional commissioner for children’s rights, Irina Popova.
According to one version, the scandal with the torture of children may be the revenge of the boarding school employees who were fired in the summer. At the same time, by the way, pictures were taken.
