Kinopoisk showed a trailer for the Cybervillage series. The project will consist of 10 episodes. The continuation of the YouTube sketch series of the same name from studio Birchpunk will appear in streaming on September 23.
“The plot will take viewers to the year 2100 on Mars, where the farmer Nikolai settled. He lives happily with his family in a cybernetic village and quietly runs a robotic farm until the head of a large corporation, Baragozin, arrives on the planet and wants to build a new factory on the village site. To save his home, the farmer undertakes a dangerous journey to Earth. That is why he hopes to reach the management of Izhevsk Dynamics and its director Baragozin,” the synopsis says.
In the trailer, viewers are shown more of Nikolai’s life in a Martian village, the greedy owner of a robotic corporation, a reserved seat, and a four-dimensional market, as well as a Mad Max-like trailer through a sandstorm. The main role was played by Sergei Chikhachev. The corporate boss, as in the Birchpunk YouTube project, was played by Grigory Skryapkin.
They were joined by new faces who had not appeared before in the Cybervillage universe: Artem Semakin, Olga Zhevakina, Vlada Lukina, Margarita Silaeva, Elena Makhova and others. The cleaning robot was played by three actors at once: Sergey Avdeev, Igor Bogomyakov and Dmitry Kondratyuk, and Sergey Burunov became his voice.
Previously, the annual Kinopoisk party called “Evening at the Chalet” was held at the New Season online film festival. The event was opened by Plus content director and producer Olga Filipuk, and then the evening continued with a concert by Alena Sviridova and a performance by DJ Efim Ginzburg.
