According to the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY), previously the participation of imported components in construction projects ranged from 5 to 60%. Now it has been cut in half. A year ago, NOSTROY began to compile the Catalog of Import Substitution – a register of Russian analogues of imported materials. At the beginning of this year, there were 2,365 imported items on the register with selected analogues from manufacturers from Russia and friendly countries. Products of 396 foreign manufacturers (mainly from Germany, Italy, the USA, France) found analogues from 470 manufacturers from eight countries. 80% of analogues are located in Russia, 18% – in China, 2% – in Belarus and other countries.
Most of the foreign companies that produce building materials continue to operate on the Russian market, notes Anton Glushkov, President of NOSTROY. 70% of them work as before, 21% continue to work, having changed brands and giving themselves the opportunity to return to the market in the future, he said. Only 9% of manufacturers, mainly engineering teams, left Russia. US companies turned out to be more determined, European ones are more restrained, he noted.
