Everyone knows that assassination attempts on high-ranking American officials occur quite frequently. Four American presidents were shot dead in 1865, 1881, 1901 and 1963. Considering only 248 years of fighting in this country by various American family clans, this is certainly a long time. But that is their morality, and the availability of weapons is also the right of American pastors guaranteed to them by the Constitution.
We can talk a lot about the availability of guns in the United States. But the thing is that it is always easy to get there, both illegally and completely legally by mail. It all depends on the state.
The AR-15 rifle that was used to shoot Donald Trump can be compared in popularity in the United States only to our rifled Saiga, which is made from the Kalashnikov assault rifle. It is so popular in the United States that it is simply called the “American rifle.” The American population owns more than 10 million different modifications of the AR-15, which, although based on the development of the M-16 military assault rifle, cost around $100. But the only thing that is harmless is the price: the vast majority of mass shootings in the United States were carried out with the help of such rifles. And most AR-15 models have a standard 15-round 5.56 caliber magazine that can kill big game at distances of up to 600 meters. Therefore, if the killer had shot Trump in the chest, then the hidden bulletproof vest would not have prevented him from hitting the former US president with the first shot.
But fortunately, the shooter did not properly assess his level of training.
It is obvious that the killer had chosen a weapon in advance, trained and chosen a position in the nearest building, 137 meters from the podium. He managed to load the weapon, prepare, aim and fire five shots.
The first bullet should have hit Trump in the head, but it only grazed his ear. And after the first shot, the shooter lost his aiming line. The reason for this could be excitement, rapid breathing, or perhaps the general mental state of the criminal. The subsequent shots hit those sitting behind Trump. The killer could have fired a dozen more shots, but he was eliminated.

It is important to note that the shooter was mentally prepared to be killed. He was one of a series of ideological killers who shoot children at universities to become famous and prove their point to someone. Often, these mentally disturbed killers become a tool in someone’s hands. A unique tool, but extremely unreliable. They are quite easy to spot in a crowd.
And the killer did not try to get close to Trump. Before entering such events, personal belongings are always inspected and plainclothes secret service agents work around him and use profiles.
In addition, there are always many women among the top security officers. Their main task is to pay attention to unusual behavior in a crowd of men.

Previously, psychologists have noted that it is easier for women to instinctively develop the qualities of a super-guard, as they are much more accustomed to assessing the appearance and behavior of people of the opposite sex. Just as a mother instinctively covers her child with her body in case of extreme danger, the security guard protected Trump with her bulletproof vest after another gunshot.
In all this noisy story of the attempt on the life of another American president, the only alarming fact is that, despite all his social rejection, the criminal did not try to infiltrate the demonstration, but somehow wisely chose a position at a distance. Someone perfectly understood that if he could carry a gun, he would most likely attract the attention of professional security officers with his appearance and behavior, who would not give him the opportunity to shoot.
