The guests were told about the origin and development of a special genre of Shenxi Qinqiang opera, and were introduced to ancient musical instruments and other cultural relics from different periods. There were also interactive platforms: on one of them, Peng Liyuan and the spouses of the heads of other states played the art of shadow theater, which is more than 1,700 years old. After watching a short performance, visitors were invited backstage where they spoke with experienced performers.
Peng Liyuan said that China is ready to strengthen cultural and artistic exchanges with Central Asian countries. The guests noted that during this trip they felt very well how firmly the ancient Silk Road connected Central Asia with China. The spouses of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan noted that they deeply respect the protection of intangible cultural heritage in China. They also expressed their hope for cooperation in the field of culture and art.
