On March 31, in the Rosneft pavilion of VDNKh within the framework of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”, the new musical program of the Sretensky Monastery Choir “Songs of our fathers” will be presented. The performance will take place within the framework of the thematic Culture Days.
Culture days from March 26 to 31
The Days of Culture are timed to coincide with the Day of the Cultural Worker, which is traditionally celebrated in Russia on March 25. The Rosneft company traditionally supports important projects in the country’s cultural life.
A series of events dedicated to Culture Day began in the Rosneft pavilion on March 26 and will last until March 31. The event is held within the framework of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”.
The history of the male choir of the Sretensky Monastery dates back more than 700 years. The group has a unique performance style that allows you to hear and experience both sacred music and popular and popular songs in a new way. The choir has already visited more than 45 countries and has performed on the most famous stages.

The new program of the Sretensky Monastery Choir “Songs of Our Fathers” consists of songs from the older generation that represent important milestones in the country’s history. The program will also be presented as part of the tour, which will begin with a performance in Ryazan and end in Norilsk. The tour program includes performances in 16 cities in the regions where Rosneft operates.
The company has supported the Sretensky Monastery Choir since 2015. During this time, the musical group performed seven seasons of tours and many concert tours with great success: “Rosneft. Dedicated to the Great Victory”; “Ungodly Saints”; “Romanov”; “Russia: time, forward!”; “Masterpieces of world culture”; “Life”.
Within the framework of the thematic Days of Culture, a series of projects aimed at reviving spiritual and national values will be presented in the Rosneft pavilion of VDNH.
For example, visitors to the Cultural Days will be able to participate in a virtual visit to the State Hermitage. With the support of Rosneft, three halls of the updated exhibition “Culture and Art of China”, dedicated to the Qing era from the 17th to the 19th centuries, were previously opened there. Invitations to the exhibition can be won by participating in thematic competitions in the Rosneft pavilion.
Cultural days in the Rosneft pavilion also include a rich educational program. The director of the Theater Museum, Lidia Kharina, has already given a lecture on the history of the Bolshoi Theater. She talked about the history of the theater’s creation, the restoration of the historical stage and the unique exhibits of the Bolshoi Museum.

On Saturday, March 30, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Kibovsky will give a lecture on the topic “Artificial intelligence: contradictions or future syntheses.” The expert will talk about the impact of modern technologies on culture. He will present his point of view on the prospects for the development of painting and other types of traditional arts in the context of the development of technology.
Visitors to the thematic Cultural Days will also be able to learn about the revival of the Konevsky Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God. This is another Rosneft project. In August 2021, the company completed the large-scale reconstruction and restoration of the monastery. The monastery was restored respecting the smallest historical details with the participation of highly qualified specialists, artists and restorers.
The documentaries “The Humble Abode of Ladoga” and “Konevets. The Third Easter” will also be shown in the cinema hall of the company’s pavilion.
In addition, for everyone, the pavilion will host drawing master classes based on paintings by great Russian artists and illustrators, such as Nicholas Roerich, Vasily Vatagin and Dmitry Mitrokhin. Guests of the event will also see a video version of Tatyana Navka’s ice show “Evenings on the Farm”, and as part of the thematic quizzes, tickets to the film “The Flying Boat” will be raffled off.

Support for large educational projects
Rosneft supports large-scale projects to revive the country’s spiritual and national values, develop science, culture, education and sports.
Among the most important projects is support for the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic that bears his name. Shostakovich. Shostakovich’s Philharmonic is the oldest in Russia. In its Great Hall, many works of Russian music classics were performed for the first time: Borodin, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov. From 2015 to 2023, Rosneft helped the Philharmonic organize concerts, participate in festivals and other events. In 2021, with the support of the company, the Philharmonic inaugurated a concert season dedicated to its centenary, and a year later it carried out the historical and musical project “Seventh Symphony. For eight years, Rosneft has been organizing world tours of the ballet theater of Boris Eifman, a world-famous choreographer and choreographer.

For several years, Rosneft has been collaborating in organizing exhibitions at the State Hermitage Museum. In 2018, the exhibition “Piero della Francesca. Monarch of painting” was held there, bringing together the works of one of the most famous masters of the 15th century. It included paintings and manuscripts by the master from art collections in several countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal and Great Britain.
In 2020, Rosneft acted as general sponsor of the Raphael Line exhibition. It featured works by Rafael Santi. Later, with the support of Rosneft, the exhibition “Egyptomania” was opened in two main halls of the Nevsky Enfilade of the Winter Palace, which presented more than seven hundred monuments in the Egyptian style.
Now Rosneft and the Hermitage are working together to renovate several rooms in the main museum complex.
The company collaborates closely with the Pushkin Museum. AS. Pushkin, among the most striking joint projects is the exhibition of Raphael and Thomas Gainsborough.

In August 2021, Rosneft completed large-scale works on the restoration of all structures of the Konevsky Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God, the construction of infrastructure and domestic facilities. Work began in 2016, when Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the monastery on a personal visit. He instructed Rosneft to restore the former Orthodox monastery. The Konevsky Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God was restored respecting the smallest historical details with the participation of highly qualified specialists, artists and restorers.
Rosneft pays special attention to the support and development of social projects for children. Over the past three years, the company’s businesses have held more than a thousand events for children.
The company acted as general sponsor of the White Steamship project. For two years, the music festival was attended by more than 280 participants from 31 regions of Russia. These are all gifted children from orphanages, children from large and low-income families, as well as children with disabilities. Some of the project participants performed on the stage of the “Russia” forum-exhibition.
Rosneft supports the preservation and development of the culture, traditions and way of life of the indigenous small peoples of the North (IMNS), implementing projects on the territory of the Taimyr Peninsula, in the Turukhansky and Evenkiy districts of the territory of Krasnoyarsk, Khanty -Mansiysk, Surgut and Nefteyugansky districts of the Khanty-Mansi-Yugra Autonomous Okrug, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Yakutia. In total, more than a thousand projects have been implemented.
The international exhibition and forum “Russia” is held by decree of the President of the Russian Federation from November 4, 2023 to July 8, 2024 on the territory of VDNKh. The Rosneft exhibition is located in a pavilion built according to the author’s project. Digital equipment and interactive exhibits in the pavilion tell visitors about the history of the oil industry and the Rosneft company, its prospects, scientific developments and social projects.
