The Sretensky Monastery Choir will present a new program within the framework of Culture Days in the Rosneft pavilion of VDNKh – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

On March 31, in the Rosneft pavilion of VDNKh within the framework of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”, the new musical program of the Sretensky Monastery Choir “Songs of our fathers” will be presented. Culture days from March 26 to 31

The Days of Culture are timed to coincide with the Day of the Cultural Worker, which is traditionally celebrated in Russia on March 25. The Rosneft company traditionally supports important projects in the country’s cultural life.

A series of events dedicated to Culture Day began in the Rosneft pavilion on March 26 and will last until March 31. The event is held within the framework of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”.

The history of the male choir of the Sretensky Monastery dates back more than 700 years. The new program of the Sretensky Monastery Choir “Songs of Our Fathers” consists of songs from the older generation that represent important milestones in the country’s history. The tour program includes performances in 16 cities in the regions where Rosneft operates.

The company has supported the Sretensky Monastery Choir since 2015. During this time, the musical group performed seven seasons of tours and many concert tours with great success: “Rosneft. Within the framework of the thematic Days of Culture, a series of projects aimed at reviving spiritual and national values ​​will be presented in the Rosneft pavilion of VDNH.

For example, visitors to the Cultural Days will be able to participate in a virtual visit to the State Hermitage. With the support of Rosneft, three halls of the updated exhibition “Culture and Art of China”, dedicated to the Qing era from the 17th to the 19th centuries, were previously opened there. Invitations to the exhibition can be won by participating in thematic competitions in the Rosneft pavilion.

Cultural days in the Rosneft pavilion also include a rich educational program. The director of the Theater Museum, Lidia Kharina, has already given a lecture on the history of the Bolshoi Theater. She talked about the history of the theater’s creation, the restoration of the historical stage and the unique exhibits of the Bolshoi Museum.

Visitors to the thematic Cultural Days will also be able to learn about the revival of the Konevsky Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God. This is another Rosneft project. The monastery was restored respecting the smallest historical details with the participation of highly qualified specialists, artists and restorers.
