“At 00:22, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial assault with rocket bursts from the occupied Golan Heights,” RIA Novosti said, citing the statement.
According to the agency, the attacks were carried out in various locations in and around Damascus, including areas inhabited by civilians. Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles.
Some of the residents affected by the bombings are in critical condition. Houses were destroyed, damage was done in various districts of Damascus.
It was previously reported that on Saturday night, a US military base located in the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor province was hit by a missile attack. According to eyewitnesses, flashes were seen at the base. So far, nothing has been reported about possible casualties or deaths among the US military.
